Believe it or not, running a non-profit, all-comedy theatre company is no dance party.

And while our world-class comedies enjoy overwhelming success, only a quarter of our $700,000 budget is supported by our ticket revenues. To maintain 1812 Productions as an important contributor to Philadelphia’s cultural and economic landscape we rely on foundation, government, corporate and individual support from generous folks like you.

Now in our eleventh season, 1812 Productions has grown from a small, part-time staff of two actors producing one show a year to a thriving company with a year-round staff of six employees, over a dozen seasonal employees and scores of actors, designers, musicians and technicians hired for each individual show. Last year alone 1812 Productions employed over 50 people, rented five facilities and put on 100 performances and special events.
